It’s getting good…

There’s a brand new Irish dating series hitting our screens very soon and they’ve finally gotten their host – it’s James Kavanagh.

Virgin Media Television has announced that the social media star will be the new face of Grá ar an Trá.

The series is set to see twelve singletons head to the Gaeltacht in search of love and to learn the Irish language.

Hoping to be crowned the Couple with the most Focail, the winners will walk away with €10,000.

The series has been described as “the Gaeltacht like you’ve never seen it before”, James is hoping to bring his own charm and charisma despite not being a Gaeilgeoir himself.

Commenting on his new presenting role, James said: “To say I am buzzing to co host this show is an understatement.

“Single & giddy Irish people looking for the ride while learning Irish? The show is destined to be iconic.”

Filming for the series is set to start in May and Virgin Media is accepting applicants right now. If you think you’re the right fit, you can apply here or by emailing the Grá Team at [email protected].

When announcing that the show was set to go ahead, the TV station said: “The hunt is on for singletons looking for love for our brand-new dating format ‘Grá ar an Trá’.

“Shooting this summer, this is the Gaeltacht like you’ve never seen it before. ‘Grá ar an Trá’ will see singletons couple up and get cosy, as they get to grips with the language… and each other.

“Through fun tasks, cheeky challenges and romantic rendez-vous, our couples will compete to find love and be crowned the couple with the most focal.”
