Jamelia is the latest celebrity to sign up for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Although the singer and former Voice of Ireland judge has long been rumoured to take part this year, the news was only confirmed today.
Jamelia was a coach on the Voice for two seasons
A source told Metro.co.uk: “Jamelia can’t wait for everyone to know after keeping the secret for so long”.
“She’s a natural entertainer and we definitely think she’ll do well in the competition”.
Jamelia will join former Corrie actress Georgia May Foote, Eastenders’ Kellie Bright, professional boxer Anthony Ogogo, TV chef Ainsley Harriot, Peter Andre, newsreader Katie Derham, weather presenter Carol Kirkwood, Daniel O’Donnell and BBC DJ radio Jeremy Vine.
Kellie Bright will also take part this year
The show returns to BBC on September 5th and Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman are back to co-host.
