Phew.
The internet has been full of speculation about Little Mix’s future recently but now it appears we can all breathe a sigh of relief.
Leigh Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards recently celebrated ten years together – and according to Jade, they hope to celebrate their 20th anniversary together when it comes around.
Jade said that she thinks Little Mix will “still be going then”, adding that the trio have dreams of making more music and going on more tours over the next decade.
“I’d like to think we’ll still be going then. We’d be doing another tour, another gig with more music,” Jade told The Daily Star.
She also revealed the group’s dream of having a TV documentary made about them.
“I’d love in 20 years’ time that there was a fabulous documentary about how amazing we are,” she said.
In recent months, Little Mix have been gearing up to release their brand new album Between Us, which debuts on 12 November – but rumours quickly surfaced that it could be their last.
Last month, The Sun on Sunday reported that each member would be leaving the band behind and pursuing solo careers of their own soon.
In the article, a source claimed: “There has been a lot of speculation about the future of Little Mix but it is now very clear that the end of the road has been reached.
“A date is set to announce the split. The upcoming tour is going to be a farewell to their fans.”
This led to fans searching for any hints from the group that could confirm the rumours, such as scrutinising new song lyrics and sharing theories on social media.
The chart topping girl-group also faced backlash in the past year following former member Jesy Nelson’s dramatic exit due to mental health reasons – an event that led to a very public feud between the four.
