Saoirse Ronan went viral after that powerful moment on The Graham Norton Show
Jack Lowden has shared a rare photo of Saoirse Ronan after the Little Women actress went viral for silencing male guests on The Graham Norton Show.
The Slow Horses star posted a photo of his wife running errands on Instagram after her incredible interview.
The couple are notoriously private about their personal life but Lowden posted the rare photo on his Instagram page this weekend.
The comment section was quickly flooded with praise for the actress.
One person wrote: “Truly appreciated her comments about women and girls on Graham Norton.”
“A perfect comment on Graham Norton about how women and girls feel about their safety. Please say thank you from a mum and her three girls,” another said.
A third added: “Love her for what she said on Graham Norton. Thank you, Saoirse.”
The moving moment saw Ronan highlight just how dangerous the world can be for women during a discussion between Paul Mescal and Eddie Redmayne.
The actors were laughing about how funny it would be to use your phone to defend yourself in a fight.
One person who didn’t find the conversation funny at all was Irish actress Saoirse Ronan who quickly silenced the actors.
Mescal quipped: “Who is actually going to think about that? If someone actually attacked me, I’m not going to go ‘phone.’ “
Ronan swiftly responded saying, “That’s what girls have to think about all the time.”
The actors quickly stopped laughing and reflected on the intensity of what Ronan had said.
She has been praised for highlighting just how much women have to do to keep themselves safe, even if you’re a famous actress.
