Zayn Malik has reportedly broken his silence after leaving One Direction earlier this week.
The singer apparently talked to The Sun newspaper, clearing up any rumours about his departure from the boy band.
He said: “It is crazy and wild and a bit mad but at the same time I’ve never felt more in control in my life.”
The 22-year-old added that there was no rift within the band and he expects the others to carry on for a long time.

“I’m only upset (because) I feel like I may have let them down in some sort of way,” he explained. “That’s the main thing that I don’t want to happen.
“It’s not that I’ve turned my back on them or anything, it’s just that I just can’t do that anymore because it’s not real to me.”
Zayn is also said to have slammed speculation surrounding his relationship with fiancée Perrie Edwards, describing her as a “good girl.”
