Britney Spears might be worth millions but that doesn’t change the fact that she did a very good deed when she handed over $100 to a homeless man in Los Angeles this week.
That’s right, the pop star’s heart (and purse) strings got a good old tugging when a man living on the street came up to her and asked her for help.
Britney has millions in the bank from her music career.
A witness told the Daily Star: “This shabby-looking guy approached Britney outside the shop. He said to her: ‘Please help, me, I’m at the end of my rope.’
“So she walked to a nearby cash machine and withdrew five $20 bills and gave them to him.”
We doubt the homeless man expected to get $100 in cash from the singer.
But, as we have come to expect with Britney, the episode wasn’t without drama. When the guy got up to hug the former X Factor judge she began screaming.
The source said: “He was so taken aback and happy he jumped up and lunged at her for a big bear hug. Britney started screaming and within seconds the shop’s security guards had run over.”
The guards apparently thought the man had mugged her and demanded he give the money back. Fortunately Britney was able to explain the situation once she stopped freaking out.
Guess all’s well that ends well, eh?!
