She might be keen on posting cryptic messages about him on Twitter and suggestive snaps of him on Instagram but Rihanna hasn’t exactly spoken about her reunion with Chris Brown… until now.
The singer has revealed in an interview for Rolling Stone magazine that she doesn’t care what people think of her decision to reunite with her ex-boyfriend who assaulted her back in 2009.
“I decided it was more important for me to be happy… I wasn’t going to let anybody’s opinion get in the way of that. Even if it’s a mistake, it’s my mistake,” she explained before adding that she can take the criticism directed at her.
“After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I’d rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it.”
Chris Brown and Rihanna got back together at the end of last year
While the Diamonds star appears to have taken a step backwards in her love life, by getting back together with Brown, she said that things are different this time.
“When you add up the pieces from the outside, it’s not the cutest puzzle in the world. You see us walking somewhere, driving somewhere, in the studio, in the club, and you think you know. But it’s different now.
“We don’t have those types of arguments anymore. We talk about sh*t. We value each other. We know exactly what we have now, and we don’t want to lose that… But we’re in a great place. And I can’t ever see us going back.”

Speaking about what she would do if he did assault her again, the 24-year-old singer bluntly said: “He doesn’t have the luxury of f**king up again. That’s just not an option.
“I can’t say that nothing else will ever go wrong. But I’m pretty solid in knowing that he’s disgusted by that. And I wouldn’t have gone this far if I ever thought that was a possibility.”
While we might not agree with her decision, we have to admit that Rihanna certainly isn’t afraid to be honest about how she feels.
