Tulisa will have to save her pennies as she faces a legal bill of €130,000 for suing her ex-boyfriend over a leaked sex tape.
It has been revealed the newly-blonde X-Factor judge will have to foot the bill as the people she sued do not have the finances to do so.
Tulisa won the court case against her ex-boyfriend Justin Edwards. Edwards released a sex tape of Tulisa in an intimate position just before her “We Are Young” single was released at the beginning of this year. He admitted in court to releasing the video online.
Tulisa’s legal costs continued to pile during the case. The singer began by paying a legal team to remove the tape from a number of websites. A source told The Irish Sun this morning that even if Tulisa wins financial compensation, it is unlikely she’ll ever see any of it as she will end up paying for the case herself.
“She wanted to make an example of her ex-boyfriend, it has cost her a bomb so far and she’s still not finished. Financially she’ll have lost, but she might see it as a moral victory.”
Tulisa is suing nine respondants, including two firms, over the release of the sex tape, accusing them of plotting with Edwards to make €5 million by selling the six minute clip online.
One of the alleged conspirators is music manager Chris Herber, who created the Spice Girls. He has been fired from his consultancy role on this year’s X Factor to avoid an awkward clash with judge Tulisa.
