This time it’s all about the money, money, money for popstar Jessie J as she will take to the razor extreme-style.
The Domino singer has announced she will shave her head for Comic Relief.
She said she will go bald for Red Nose Day, the biennial BBC comedy telethon, and made the announcement on her Twitter account this afternoon.
Jessie J had previously told fans she would crop her hair for charity and now the star is keeping to her word.
Jessie J still featured a masculine element to her look at the recent GQ Men of the Year awards.
Writing to fans on the social networking site, she said: “I am SO excited and honoured to be able to finally officially announce I will be shaving my head LIVE for you ALL to watch in March 2013 for @rednoseday.”
Famous for her hit, Price Tag, the star joked that it is “all about the money” this time.
The dark-haired singer said she has been waiting for the perfect time and charity and she urged her fans to get involved with the money-raising.
She tweeted: “I have spent a long time making sure that when I do shave my head I raise as much money as possible for charity.”
Jessie J sent a series of tweets to her fans explaining about her charitable cause.
We don’t know how this will go with her new “classy refined image” but we say kudos to Jessie J for taking the big step!
Red Nose Day first aired in February 1988, and in 2011 the charity raised £74,360,207 (€92,882,900).
