Adele fans, of which there are many, have been eagerly awaiting news of the singer’s third album and a return to live appearances.
Now it seems as though X Factor producers are adamant that said return should be on one of this year’s live shows.
According to The Daily Star, bosses are “bending over backwards” to lock down a performance from the hit-maker, which would no doubt provide a huge ratings boost to the reality TV show.
Adele has previously admitted to being a big fan of the show, saying that her family encouraged her to enter before she found fame.
Current reports suggest that there are talks of an ‘Adele week’, where each contestant would take on one of the singer’s hits. The same show would, bosses hope, see Adele return to the stage to launch a new single.
Four years ago, Adele’s version of Bob Dylan track Make You Feel My Love proved one of the most popular for auditions, and subsequently proved a massive hit for the now 26-year-old.
It’s also expected that returning judge Cheryl will use the X Factor platform to launch a new track.
