Irish actor Milo O’Shea has sadly passed away following a short illness aged 86.
The star, who is originally from Dublin but moved to New York in the 70s, started his career on stage here in Ireland.

It wasn’t long before he made it onto the screen with roles in BBC sitcom Me Mammy as well as films including Romeo and Juliet, Barbarella and Ulysses.
In more recent years O’Shea made guest appearances in both Frasier and The West Wing.
The actor with his wife Kitty who is also an actress.
He is survived by wife Kitty Sullivan as well as two sons, a daughter-in-law and three grandchildren.
