‘I’m always doing silly things’: Dani Dyer apologises to Jack over rash breakup decision

The couple address their brief separation in new reality show, Jack and Dani: Life After Love Island.

When Dani Dyer took to Instagram to announce she and Jack had decided to break up, we were all shocked. The couple were triumphant on Love Island and emerged a strong and united pair. They even moved in together when they left the villa which is why Dani's statement came as a real surprise. Early last month the 23-year-old uploaded an Instagram (which has since been deleted) that read:

"Jack and I have sadly decided to part ways. It's been an incredible six months, and we will always have a place in our hearts for each other. "But sadly, we've come to the realisation that it's not meant to be long term. We both plan to stay friends. I hope you'll all understand."

But thankfully the couple decided to reunite shortly afterwards. Since then Dani has been relatively quiet about her rash decision but in an interview preceding last night's episode of new reality show Jack and Dani: Life After Love Island, Dani has explained what happened. The Daily Mail reports that speaking to Roman Kemp, Dani expressed regret saying:

"You know what, it was tough. I think I definitely made the whole mistake of the whole Instagram thing."

She continued to say it was a heat of the moment decision:

"You know, like, as a girl you think 'I’m just going to do it', you think it’s done but it wasn’t. And with me and Jack, we’re trying to build on things and grow as a couple and learn about each other, and when you’ve got everyone sort of on you and taking pictures of you, you make bad decisions and you think 'well maybe we can’t do it'."

She then poked fun at herself saying:

"It’s me, I always do silly things. It’s such a Dani thing to do."

The couple has uploaded multiple pictures over the festive period and seem all loved up once again - so all's well that ends well. The first episode of Jack and Dani: Life After Love Island aired last night at 9 pm on ITV.
