Lara Stone has revealed that she was fired from a modelling job after telling the client that she was pregnant.
The model, who is married to Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams, gave birth to the couple’s first son Alfred last May but told The Evening Standard that she believes she was axed from a job as a result of being pregnant.
As she had not yet had her three-month scan, Stone had only told her family but decided it would be professional to inform her bookers also, only to be told on arriving for the job that she had been replaced.
“I was really upset at the time,” she said.
“I hadn’t yet had my three-month scan and I felt really vulnerable about everything. I no longer had a job. That was it – I had had to just stop everything that I knew; the way my life was.”
