The feud between Lily Allen and Cheryl Cole may be water under the bridge by now, but Lily has revealed that she still gets told off by Cheryl Cole fans – seven years later!

Lily and Cheryl had a bit of a bust up back in 2005 when they both made not-so-nice digs at each other and according to Lily, she’s still feeling the backlash.

“I said something about Cheryl Cole seven years ago and her fans are still giving me a hard time on Twitter!” said Lily, speaking to The Sun about things she wished she’d know at age 18.

“But as you get older, you gain more knowledge. So when I get abuse from Cheryl Cole fans now, I don’t take it to heart, because they’re 12, so it doesn’t matter, and in a way I find it quite sweet that these kids feel that passionately about someone,” she added.

Lily has admitted that she still gets grief from Cheryl Cole fans over past comments.

Lily, who is currently pregnant with her second child, also insisted that she doesn’t have any regrets about other…eh…controversial…things that she might have said in the past.

“When I first started out in my career, I made quite a lot of controversial statements. I said things because I thought they were important. Now, I’m not sure that they are so much. I’d say that motherhood has mellowed me along with just age, growing up and having more responsibility,” said Lily.

“Having kids, you suddenly think about the future in a very different way. It becomes less about yourself and more about someone else. And marriage does that as well. I don’t regret anything I’ve ever said because it’s all part of growing up and I believed it at the time,” she added.

Wise words from a very mature Lily Allen, don’t you think?
