Pippa Middleton has admitted in an interview how the reaction to her bridesmaid’s dress at the royal wedding was “completely unexpected”, but that she’s felt “publicly bullied a little bit” since her quick rise to fame.
Pippa, and her now infamous bum, caused a stir at the wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William in October 2010, when she wore a figure hugging white dress while carrying her sister’s train.
In an interview with the Today Show, the 30-year old admitted she thought of the royal nuptials as a “family wedding with everyone doing their bit.”
The rise to fame has now caused the younger Middleton sister to feel uncomfortable, with her saying:
“I have felt publicly bullied a little bit just by, you know, when I read things that clearly aren’t true or that, whichever way someone looks at it, it’s a negative side.
“It is quite difficult. Because eventually I’m just paving my way and trying to live a life like any 30-year-old.”
The freelance writer, who was taking part in her first TV interview, has said that she’s aware her sister’s wedding has allowed her opportunities, but that she’s still battling with the publicity.
Although she now feels the paparazzi don’t follow her too much, Pippa said she was aware of
“not being entirely private”, adding:
“I don’t entirely relax, especially in cities.”
