Uh-oh, it seems as though Sarah Jessica Parker has put her foot in it. Literally. The former Sex and The City star has managed to seriously anger some shoe brands after stating that they ruined her feet because they were “cheap.”
Celebrity gossip website RadarOnline.com reports that in an interview with Net-A-Porter, Sarah, who is famed for wearing pricey designer heels (Manolo Blahniks, how are ya?) blamed pairs of “cheap shoes” from Aldo and Nine West for ruining her feet.
We’re sorry but we sort of find it hard to feel Sarah’s pain given the fact that Aldo and Nine West shoes tend to cost a fair bit all the same!
Anyway, Sarah said she damaged her feet while she was starring in the 2011 film I Don’t Know How She Does It.
Sarah is used to wearing designer shoes that cost hundreds of euros
Sarah stated that when she was playing the part of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex And The City she “wore beautiful shoes” and “never complained.”
“I did I Don’t Know How She Does It and I was very thoughtful about my whole wardrobe and said you know [my character] could not afford really good shoes, she would go to Nine West or Aldo,” said Sarah in the interview.
“So I got shoes from there and the bottom of the shoes aren’t leather, they are plastic, so I slipped a couple times, twisted my ankles. I went to a foot doctor and he said, ‘Your foot does things it shouldn’t be able to do. That bone there… You’ve created that bone. It doesn’t belong there,’
“It’s sad, because my feet took me all over the world, but eventually they were like, ‘You know what, we are really tired, can you just stop – and don’t put cheap shoes on us?’” Sarah concluded.
We bet Nine West and Aldo are absolutely thrilled with that stunning publicity from SJP…
