Meghan Trainor has opened up about her current weight loss
We’re all too aware of the increase in celebrities using Ozempic and Mounjaro to lose weight.
It seems like half of Hollywood has decided to take weight loss medication, but few are openly talking about it.
Singer Meghan Trainor has revealed why she chose to start taking Mounjaro to help her lose weight, and she is being praised for how transparent she is about it.
Trainor was overjoyed to be recognised at Billboard’s Women in Music awards this month. It was a major achievement for the singer, but people online couldn’t help but comment on how different she looked.
Trainor admitted she felt disheartened by the commentary on her appearance over her achievement.
The mum-of-two explained that she simply wanted to feel healthy and strong.
“It’s a little disheartening that so many of the questions (and comments) were focused on my body instead of my music, my passion, or the decade of hard work that got me here. This is what it’s like to be a woman in the music industry.”
She continued, “No, I don’t look like I did 10 years ago. I’ve been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me.
The singer worked with a personal trainer and changed her diet, but also started using medication to help her weight loss.
“I’ve worked with a dietician, made huge lifestyle changes, started exercising with a trainer, and yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my 2nd pregnancy. And I’m so glad I did because I feel great,” she added.
Trainor added: “Here’s to celebrating talent, growth, and the power of putting yourself first. Let’s keep shifting the convo to what REALLY matters.”
Trainor’s honesty about how her appearance has changed was praised by both her fans and those on social media.
Many agreed that the mum’s transparency was a refreshing change in the celebrity world.
