“I Didn’t Get Fired, I Decided to Quit!” Says Georgia Salpa. Her Former Boss Disagrees.

The Irish model has said that she wasn't fired from Andrea Roche's modelling agency, instead she quit. But Andrea Roche insists that she decided to fire the model. Who to believe?

Yesterday it seemed as though Georgia Salpa and model boss Andrea Roche had parted ways in a spirit of peace and forgiveness. Today, however, there’s a completely different story circulating and the Salpa isn’t a happy bunny…

According to reports, Georgia Salpa has hit back at claims that Andrea Roche fired her from her modelling agency and has said that she is completely “disappointed” with her former boss.

“I sent out a letter of resignation, I sent out a press release saying really nice things. If she wants to turn around and do something like that, that’s disappointing,” said Georgia.

Apparently Georgia isn’t exactly thrilled with the statement Andrea released yesterday which said: “I have decided to part company with Georgia and have let her go.” The statement clearly suggests that the decision had been Andrea’s and that the model had actually been fired.

Georgia is reported to be livid over claims made by her former boss

The reason why Georgia was given the axe from the agency was because she was reportedly unable to fulfil her obligations to commitments in Ireland ever since she relocated to the UK earlier this year.

However, Georgia is claiming that she allowed UK model agency Neon to handle her Irish bookings, meaning Andrea was made redundant.

“It was my call. I thought she was a really good agent but it was easier for me to work in London with one agency, because I’m always in London,” said Georgia, speaking to the Irish Daily Star.

But it doesn’t end there. Andrea has hit back at Georgia’s comments and has insisted that the decision was hers.

“I told her [Georgia] because she cancelled a number of jobs. In one week alone, she missed one appointment and was late for two. I have to protect my business,” said Andrea.

“All of my models are punctual and reliable – that’s what I expect,” she added.

A classic case of she said/she said we think. Either way, we’re sure that both Georgia and Andrea will go on making money in the modelling industry regardless of whether they work together or not.
