While most of us would pale slightly at the thoughts of going into labour, Hollywood star Drew Barrymore has revealed that she “can’t wait” to get the show on the road and become a mother.
The actress, who married Will Kopelman back in June, has finally opened up and spoken about her pregnancy for the very first time. And, apparently, Drew is eagerly anticipating the day that she finally gets to meet her unborn child.
“I didn’t have a traditional childhood. I did not have a strong family dynamic growing up, but I’m about to start a family of my own,” said Drew, speaking to Haute Living magazine.
“I can’t wait until I have my children. I love the idea that they don’t have to do something that they have no interest in, that they can do something completely opposite if they want to. I will be so surprised if they don’t want to do something involving food or wine or art, but I’ll be okay with it,” she added.

Drew has also said that she’d be completely fine if her children chose not to follow in her footsteps and embark on an acting career, and that she’ll happily support them no matter what they decide to do.
“I just want to build fun, great things for my family,” she said.
The star is due to give birth later this year and we can’t wait to see what name she’ll choose for her bouncing bundle of joy.
