Popular TV3 presenter Lucy Kennedy has admitted that she is feeling much better about herself on-screen after completing a “six-week health kick”.
The 38-year-old revealed that she “has the same insecurities as everyone else” and was conscious of her figure ahead of the launch of her new show.
“I am the Bridget Jones of Irish telly,” she said. “I am always going to struggle with my weight and I have a big nose. I have the same insecurities as everyone else.
“But I like me for that reason, because I am like everybody else – except my job is on telly.”
“I have two babies and a husband and a happy life. I don’t care what people think, I will never be Georgia Salpa.”
Looking ahead to her new show with Martin King she told the Irish Mirror; “I’m excited and nervous but I do feel better on-screen now.
“I feel healthier and lighter and have lost that bloated full feeling. I needed to get rid of the Christmas weight.
“I’ve been on a six-week health kick,” she continued, adding that in future she wold like to have a third baby.
