It was a wedding that had it all including tears, a designer gown and passport control… Okay, so that one isn’t so normal, but anyway…
Brian McFadden and Vogue Williams are officially man and wife having gotten married in Italy yesterday and as expected, the day was cordoned off to the public and press. Boo hoo!
Brian and Vogue have only been together for a year but are married already.
But never fear as some details have been leaked by the Irish Daily Mirror this morning about the ceremony and reception which took place at the Castello Di Vincigliata in Florence. Yay!
Apparently former Westlife star Brian was reduced to tears as his gorgeous bride-to-be walked down the aisle in her J’Aton Couture dress. Isn’t he just adorable?
The couple did manage to control their emotions enough though to read out love letters in front of their guests before kissing to the sound of an Italian opera singer.
It seems that this was all a bit too much for the guests to handle as an insider told the newspaper: ‘It was absolutely gorgeous and everyone was left with tears in their eyes at the end of the ceremony.’
After the nuptials, guests including Dannii Minogue were treated to a luxurious reception of champagne and cocktails before digging into a six-course meal consisting of traditional Italian courses.
Dannii Minogue was one of the famous faces spotted yesterday.
The day was reportedly finished off with a spectacular firework display which was probably the only thing outsiders could actually see.
As expected there was tight security around the venue to protect both the privacy of the happy couple and their six-figure deal with OK! Magazine Australia.
Not only did Vogue arrive six hours in advance with her team of makeup artists and hair stylists but security did a sweep of the castle and guests had to present their passports to prove their identity and be granted access.
A source said: ‘There was extremely tight security. Before even the bride arrived, guards did a sweep of the castle to make sure there was no one lurking inside.
‘Then before guests could come in, if they weren’t famous like Dannii they were being made to show their passports before being checked off a list.’
While it sounds more like a covert military operation than a wedding, it also sounds like the happy ending both Brian and Vogue have been looking forward to. Just can’t wait to see the official photographs now!
