Another one of our favourite couples have called it quits.
Hugh Jackman, 54, and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness, 67, have announced that they are amicably ending their marriage after 27 years.
The couple met in 1995 on the set of the Australian TV series Corelli, and married less than a year later on April 11th, 2016.
They share two children together, a son named Oscar, 23, and a daughter named Ava, 18.
In a statement to PEOPLE, they announced that they would be going their separate ways with ‘with gratitude, love, and kindness.’
“We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”
“Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
The statement, signed by the pair concludes by saying: “This is the sole statement either of us will make.”
