We don’t know about you but we’d be pretty surprised, and a little concerned, if someone gave us a calf as a wedding present.
But for vegan actress Anne Hathaway, it doesn’t seem like too much of an issue.
The Dark Knight Rises star, who married her other half Adam Shulman in California last week, opted for an all-vegan diet for her evening meal.

To celebrate her decision, animal activist group PETA sponsored a calf in her honour, calling it Peter.
We don’t mean to take away from this thoughtful gesture but that is just PETA with an ‘r’? They could have at least used their imagination when naming him!
Speaking about it to reporters, the Executive Vice President of the organisation Tracy Reiman said: “By going vegan, Anne is doing the best thing that she can to better her health and save calves like Peter from a life of suffering.”
She added: “Anne is living proof that vegans are beautiful from the inside out.” We’re sure the A-list star is over the moon with her pressie!
