You’d imaginethat a celeb recorving from surgery would like to keep a low profile but Lady Gaga has reportedly commissioned a 24 carat gold plated “chariot” to help her get around the place as she recovers from her hip operation.
Times Live reports that Gaga has been left reliantn a wheelchair after she had an operation to fix a labral tear on her right hip last month. Fed up with normal, boring wheelchairs, Gaga decided to pimp her wheels and commissioned luxury brand Mordekai to create a leather and gold throne for her. Have a look at it:
Gaga’s new set of wheels
Ken Brorochov, the man behind Mordekai, said that even though he had worked with Lady Gaga before, he was still shocked to receive such an unusual request for her.
“I certainly wasn’t expecting that phone call and have never done a wheelchair but am always up for a challenge and was thrilled to create what I affectionately dubbed the ‘Chariot,’ a chair fit only for a queen,” said Mr Borochov in an official statement.
Gaga’s new set of wheels is completely gold plated (including the rims, naturally) and features a black leather seat and a removable leather canopy, to stop the sun from annoying her when she’s out and about. The wheelchair can also recline, just in case Gaga wants to catch up on her sleep as she’s being wheeled around.
As well as buying herself a fancy new wheelchair, Gaga has reportedly installed a huge fish tank in her home and filled it with 27 koi carp fish that she had specially imported from Japan. Apparently Gaga decided she wanted the fish tank after she had a dream.
“Gaga said she’d had a dream about the fish so she had her team source some koi and set up a massive tank. The whole exercise cost over £40,000, which is a lot to most people but small change to her,” said a source.
