An upcoming bus crash will have devastating consequences for three of Summer Bay’s characters.
Kyle Braxton, Leah Patterson-Baker and Hannah Wilson will suffer terrible injuries when the bus they are travelling in is involved in a terrible crash.
Speaking to TV Week, Cassie Howarth who plays Hannah said:Â “One of the metal legs on the bus seats gets jammed in her spine. Hannah is fighting for her life. It’s touch and go whether she will survive.”
“The whole thing is horrific for Hannah. It’s that inconceivable idea of firstly, will she survive? Then, will she be able to walk?
“It is hard for her to hang on to hope. Hannah knows what it means to be injured. So, no matter how much Nate assures her she will heal, she knows the facts.”
Hannah has to face the possibility she may never walk again
Leah (Ada Nicodemou) and Kyle (Nic Westaway) are also left with life-threatening injuries in the wake of the crash.
According to Digital Spy, Kyle will be placed in a coma to help him recover from his injuries while Leah’s family are told that she may never wake up.

These scenes will air in Ireland in a few weeks and next week, Australian viewers will see the aftermath of the crash which was part of their series finale.
