Hollywood Couple In Shock Split After 13 Years

Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton have announced they have decided to end their thirteen year relationship, in a statement confirmed by the actress’ rep today. The pair, who met on the set of ‘Planet of the Apes’ in 2001, never married. The couple later went on to work on a number of films together including ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Family’, ‘Sweeney Todd’, ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and ‘Dark Shadows’. Carter’s rep confirmed the news to People magazine earlier today, saying the couple: “…separated amicably earlier this year and have continued to be friends and co-parent their children. We would ask that you respect their privacy and that of their children during this time.” The actress and director couple are parents to two children – Billy 11 and Nell, 7.
