Holly Willoughby and Ruth Langsford forced to speak following Eamonn Holmes’ comments

Last week, Eamonn called Holly a "big mouth".

This Morning star Holly Willoughby and ITV co-star, Ruth Langsford were forced to speak about awkward exchanges today on live television. It's safe to assume there's a bit of tension between Holly and Ruth after Ruth's husband Eamonn Homes bad-mouthed the This Morning host amid the Phillip Schofield drama. Earlier this month, Eamonn called Holly a "big mouth" on GB News. However, during today's show, Holly found herself speaking to Ruth about awkward interactions and we can only image that it was a pretty awkward interaction in itself.

Holly asked: "What’s happening on the show today, Ruth?"

Ruth replied: "Coming up on Loose Women, should you ever have a say on who your partner is friends with…?

"And we’re talking awkward exchanges. Have you ever accidentally said, 'I love you', to the wrong person? Also today, we are asking, would you take love advice from a former cheat?"

ITV offered staff free therapy.

Holly hasn't acknowledged Eamonn's comments about her or her former co-presenter, Phillip Schofield. She did however address the scandal when she spoke to the nation last Monday on This Morning. She said: "You me, and all of us at This Morning gave our love and support to someone who was not telling the truth. "Who acted in a way that they themselves felt that they had to resign from ITV and step down from a career that they loved. "That is a lot to process, and it’s equally hard to see the toll that it’s taken on their own mental health." It was reported recently that ITV will offer therapy to its staff after the Phillip Schofield saga. The broadcaster has allegedly offered to pay for the therapy of any This Morning employee who wants it. A source told The Sun: "The executives know they have a duty of care to their employees, especially as the spotlight has been on them during the public scandal. "They’ve told everyone that counselling is available if they want it."
