It’s a bad day for Georgia Salpa! According to reports, the Irish model has been given the boot by top model agent Andrea Roche over allegations about cancelled photo shoots.
Speaking to the Irish Daily Mirror today, Andrea confirmed that she no longer represented the FHM cover girl stating: “I have decided to part company with Georgia and have let her go.”
We have to say we were pretty surprised when we heard this news. Over the past few years, Andrea has been credited with helping to launch Georgia’s career. Andrea took over management of the model back in 2010 when Salpa left Assets model management to join Andrea’s new agency.
So what kind of allegations is Georgia facing? Well since the model relocated to London, Andrea is claiming that Georgia’s time management has become an issue for the Irish based agency.
Georgia was reportedly unable to fulfil obligations to commitments in Ireland, where she makes around €2,000 per day.
According to sources, Andrea was increasingly frustrated at Georgia’s unavailability and decided to cut her loose.
Georgia’s relocation to the UK was reportedly causing problems between her and Andrea Roche
“It just wasn’t working out anymore. Andrea is a real professional and she runs a tight ship. She had no choice but to cut ties,” said a source, speaking to the Irish Daily Mirror.
Georgia has now been signed to Neon model management in the UK. Making reference to the situation, Georgia released a statement which said: “I am grateful to AR Models for the work I’ve done with them in the past here in Ireland.”
She acknowledged the work that Andrea Roche had done for her career and stated that she hopes they can remain friends. Andrea also said that the fall-out was “nothing personal.”
