It might have taken a close friend to mention it to her, and it might have happened on primetime television, but at least she’s been told.
It’s a question that has been niggling the back of our minds ever since the first day Jennifer Aniston stepped out onto the set of hit sitcom Friends.
Jen, are you aware that your nipples are on show?
We didn’t know if it was a conscious decision and a very sheer bra or if our Jen just had nipples that craved for their own celebrity status and loved standing to attention.
We believe the issue of visible nipples is up there with telling your friend if there’s a whiff post-exercise, a serious ‘WTF’ wardrobe malfunction, a makeup plunder or if we have a dodgy feeling about her new boyfriend.
If we had to draw a picture of Jen at this stage we’d include them…
They’ve been close friends for years, so it was expected Jennifer Aniston’s interview on Chelsea Handler’s late night show would be a candid one. We just didn’t know Chelsea would mention it on air that Jen was looking quite nipply.
However, Jen was left a little more than red-faced when Chelsea pointed out she could clearly see her nipples through her leather, we’re emphasising the fact that it was leather, top.
The Chelsea Lately host pointed out she could regularly see Jennifer’s nipples due to the tight of bras she wore.
Finally!, we shouted.
Don’t tell us you didn’t know!
“When Jen comes on the show, there’s always something where her nipples are very, very pronounced. Not today, I can’t see them today, oh actually I can,” she laughed.
Jen put her acting skills to the test and looked down, exclaiming “Jeez!” and covering her chest with her hands.
She had to have known, our cynical selves thought. It’s been more than a decade since her nipples, sorry Jen, debuted on the television.
Surely someone had broached the nipple issue with her before…
