Here’s why Nicola Peltz-Beckham’s family are suing her wedding planners

Nicola and Brooklyn tied the knot last April.

Almost a year after their extravagant wedding at her family's estate in Florida, Nicola Peltz' father is taking legal action against his daughter's wedding planners. According to the Daily Mail, the lawsuit alleges that one of the wedding planners they had hired – Planned Design Events – refused to return a $159,000 deposit. It also claims that before they were fired, they were unable to deliver on their agreements. His lawyers claim: "The celebrity of the wedding couple combined with the anticipated attendance of many high-profile guests required that the wedding planner have the expertise and staffing to plan, coordinate and execute a wedding event of the expected caliber and complexity." It went on: "During their nine days of negotiations, PDE failed to book a single new wedding vendor, failed to finalise the terms of any agreements with any of the vendors that had previously been selected by Peltz and his family and failed to attend previously scheduled meetings with Peltz. "Peltz had presented them with the opportunity of a lifetime – to have their names associated with the wedding of two world-famous celebrities, which would undoubtedly propel PDE into wedding planning stardom. In reality, however, it later became clear that PDE viewed this as an opportunity to take advantage of Peltz by making material misrepresentations on both their website and in person regarding their experience, expertise, and capability of planning the wedding." Texts revealed in the lawsuit appear to show a dispute between Nicola and wedding planners Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba over Lewis Hamilton's RSVP. In the alleged texts, Nicola states that she is "tired of catching" her wedding planner's mistakes after Hamilton was incorrectly put down as attending on their guest list by an app. After the PDE wedding planners were let go, the Peltz family hired Michelle Rago of Michelle Rago Destinations to plan their wedding.
