Rachel McAdams first really came to our attention in the brilliant Mean Girls and she was one of the very few women we had no problem with Ryan Gosling dating. A brilliant actress, a style queen and generally adorable, McAdams should have featured on our Girl Crush list long before now. Here are eleven reasons we love her. 1. Have you seen her? Her audition tape for The Notebook is one of the most lovely things we have ever seen. 4. Mean Girls. With Regina George, McAdams really raised the bar for high school divas. She was hilarious. 5. Red Carpet Style. Always elegant, McAdams is one of the very few actresses who looks like a an old-school film star. 6. She kicked ass in Red Eye. Yes, her character was under attack but she was no fool! 7. This appearance on Ellen. Oh, and she's funny too. Basically, she is perfect. 8. Of course, the Notebook. When she was informed that the photo shoot required her to be naked, she left the building. 11. She's completely down-to-earth. She lives with her brother in Canada. She cycles everywhere. She is a Green Queen. She is loved by nearly every single person she works with. We just want to be her best friend. Can we not be her best friend?
