Every week, we love to focus on one woman who really impresses us or a woman that we just adore. This week, we focus on the amazing actress that is Jessica Chastain. Here are eleven reasons we love her.

An Oscar-nominated performance and well deserved, Chastain was riveting as the lead actress.

5. Her Grandmother is her best friend…
Her grandmother brought her to her first play and in return, Jessica brought her to the Oscars. “She’s always been so supportive of me.”
6. Take Shelter.
An indie film which didn’t really get the attention it deserved, Take Shelter is arguably one of the best films Chastain has appeared in.
7. She’s committed.
Chastain doesn’t just sign up for action roles, the actress commits to everything. She studied Krav Maga for the Debt. She didn’t just study it, she got involved. “I became kind of obsessed with it. I had four months of training before, and before that I never really thought about myself as a fighter. I would come back from training and my best friend would be home and I’d be like, ‘Come on. Come at me with a knife.’ So, we’d do it. She’d have a pencil in her hand and I’d pin her, just try to see if I could remember things and do it on my own without Roy [Taylor], my teacher, telling me what to do. So, I became a little bit of a monster, trying to always take someone down to the ground, see how fast you could do it.”
We won’t be taking her on.

Despite the fact that she is one of the most famous actresses in the world, Chastain is not fame hungry. In fact, she keeps it really low key.
