Olly Murs has spoken out about the feud between him and his twin brother Ben.
The Dear Darlin’ singer missed Ben’s wedding in 2009 because he was competing in the semi-final of the X Factor.
Speaking to the Radio Times, Olly explained his reasons for deciding to take part in the singing contest instead of attending the wedding.
“For 25 years of my life, I always came first in his (Ben’s) life and he always came first in mine. I loved my brother to bits. Anything he needed or he wanted I’d do for him.
“But at that point in my life I was like, as much as I love him, I have to do this for myself, I have to change my life. I never expected him to react the way he did.”

Olly also said that the fact that Ben’s wife didn’t like his family contributed to the feud: “Ben’s wedding was his excuse for not having me in his life any more.
“He got into a relationship with his now wife, and I don’t think she ever liked us as a family”.
The 30-year-old also said that it has been five years since he and his parents were in contact with Ben.
“He doesn’t want anything to do with us. He doesn’t want to know us. I would love my mum to have her son back. She gave birth to both of us and she now only has one son” continued Olly.
After his twin missed the wedding, Ben sold a story to the News Of The World where he called Olly a “self-absorbed sell-out”. At the time, he also said that the Murs family were “torn apart” because of the X Factor.
