The married DJ that experienced a cougar-fling with One Direction singer Harry Styles has split from her husband and they are divorcing.
Friends of the glamorous Lucy Horobin say the couple have been fighting about the affair and the stress became too much.
Lucy Horobin, 33, was married to Oliver Pope, 31, for only a year when the temptuous Harry Styles arrived in her life. The couple were determined to save their one-year marriage and insisted it was stronger, after news of Lucy’s affair with Harry, now 18, broke.
A friend of the couple told the Irish Daily Mirror that the couple have decided to end their marriage.
“Both of them are deeply saddened their relationship is over but believe they will be better off as friends. When Ollie discovered what had happened with Lucy and Harry, he tried to forgive and forget. Lucy got a lot of flack from One Direction fans when the affair was exposed and it was Ollie who supported her through it.
“But the stress eventually became unbearable. Behind closed doors they argued about it and in the end they agreed they’d be better off splitting up.”
Lucy first met the cheeky Harry Styles when he was 17 years of age, when she interviewed the world-famous boyband for her show on Manchester-based radio station Key 103. The couple were said to be clearly flirting on air.
The romance began before Harry started dating the Xtra-Factor host Caroline Flack, who was 15 years his senior.
At the time a friend of Lucy’s said;
“She knows she shouldn’t admit it but the sex was amazing. He knew exactly what he was doing despite the fact that he was only 17. But it was a mistake.”
Lucy has since left her job and moved to Herat South Coast FM.
