The ceremony may be six months away, but Reese Witherspoon is already being tipped as a hot favourite for next year's Oscars.
Hollywood sweetheart Witherspoon previously won the coveted gong for her role as June Carter in Walk the Line back in 2005. Now, she looks set for her second statue, following the screening of her film Wild at the Telluride Film Festival.
Reese is being praised for her performance in the movie which is based on a best-selling book by Cheryl Strayed.
The film focuses on Cheryl's hike across the Pacific Crest Trail, a gruelling journey that took in some 1,100 miles and is a film about self-discovery and rebirth.
The film flicks between present day Cheryl, who struggles to cope with the challenges that the hike throws at her, and past Cheryl, that gives a terrifying insight into an extremely difficult life.
Heroin needles and dodgy hotel rooms form part of this fragmented past, that show us how Cheryl ended up on this journey of self-discovery that in itself, will challenge her every step of the way.
Reese's name was on everyone's lips as the film screened and all eyes will be on the Oscars and the Best Actress category.
Wild will be in cinemas this December.
