Glenda Gilson has spoken out about the tax affair threatened to land her in prison.
The Xposé presenter was a director and a shareholder in her brother’s car company, which failed to file statements of affairs to the High Court when the company closed up shop.
The company wracked up €140,000 in unpaid taxes.
According to The Irish Mirror, Glenda said it has been a difficult time for her.
“I don’t want to say too much about his because it’s not over. But it was a big worry at the time and still is.
“It has taken it’s toll on me and my family. I am trying to get on with my normal life.
“It is still something that plays on my mind though, it’s still a worrying time. We are still struggling on, working every hour we can get,” she said.
The former model said that she knows everyone is struggling financially at the moment and she is fortunate to have a job with TV3.

“I think it is dreadful. To see the restaurants in town closing up is so sad. It is a big mess. It is a tough time for everyone.
“I am thankful that I have a job,” she said.
Glenda said she is not making as much money as she was when she was a model but said times have changed.
“I was better off financially when I was a model, they were the good old years.
I have spoken to girls now in modelling though who are struggling, it is the times we live in,” she said.
Meanwhile, Glenda said she would consider having Botox in the future if she wasn’t feeling good about her look.
“I haven’t done it yet, people say I’m lying when I say that.
“I wouldn’t say no to it though because you never know what the future holds.
“I am not against cosmetic surgery, each to their own,” she said.
The presenter will take her fashion knowledge onto TV3’s Celebrity Salon later this year, when she learns all the tricks and the trades of the beauty industry.
Glenda will live in a house with eight other celebrities as they compete to win the show.
“There’s a bit of nit-picking going on in the house,” she said.
