Glee star Cory Monteith is the latest celebrity to put his name down for rehab.

Monteith’s rep released a statement last night, revealing that that actor has “voluntarily admitted himself to a treatment facility for substance addiction.

“He graciously asks for your respect and privacy as he takes the necessary steps towards recovery.”

Monteith stars as Finn Hudson on the hit Fox show and dates his co-star Lea Michele.

US celebrity magazine People first reported the news of the New York-based star on its website. Michele told the magazine she loves and supports him and is proud he is going to rehab.

It is not the 30-year-old’s first time in rehab. He previously got treatment at the age of 19 and has spoken out about his addiction struggles.

Monteith said he had a serious problem and took “just anything and everything”.

He told Parade in 2011 that he was “lucky to be alive”.
