We’re preparing ourselves for the return of Girls Aloud, who today confirmed that the band is to reunite.
Sources told The Sun, that Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding and even Nadine Coyle will once again please pop fans with catchy lyrics and in-sync dancing and reports reveal that the band has even recorded a comeback single.
Girls Aloud split in 2009, much to the dismay of fans throughout the UK, but the stars are keen on celebrating their tenth anniversary next month.
A source said: “The girls recorded tracks with their long-time collaborators Xenomania as early as May this year.
“Some of them recorded their vocals separately, so they didn’t actually see each other that much during the process.
“Obviously, Nadine has been pretty estranged from the group during their time off, too.
“But on Tuesday, all five were together to film the video for their big return song, which is due out next month.
Should Girls Aloud just leave their music in the past?
“It was the last possible opportunity they would all have to get together in time for the release, as Cheryl has been busy rehearsing for her tour and Kimberley’s training schedule for Strictly has been getting more and more intense.”
Apparently, the girls have been taking their little butts to the gym in recent months to prepare for the video. The treadmill pounding is sure to have them fit, toned and pop-perfect for a return to the girl band scene.
Although Cheryl is currently taking her solo tour to venues around Ireland and the UK, it is believed that the girls are scheduling in television appearances to promote their return to the music scene.
Her.ie always loved Girls Aloud but we’re thinking that they’re a bit 2002 and probably best left in the past where they belong.
They sure will have a lot of competition in the form of the exuberant Little Mix and One Direction.
We’re not sure we want to hear more sounds from the underground…
