Strictly’s Giovanni Pernice responds to dating rumours following split from Maura Higgins

Giovanni confirmed his split from Maura back in October, saying that "great relationships with great people can come to a natural end", before adding that himself and the influencer have remained on good terms. Maura never addressed the break-up but deleted all photographs of Giovanni from her social media accounts. She has since embraced the single life and been spotted on a celebrity dating app. While Giovanni has shot down any chance of him dating Verity, rumours about his relationship with his Strictly Come Dancing partner Rose Ayling-Ellis are still running rampant. The two performed a passionate pasodoble routine on Saturday night to Sia's California Dreamin'. The dance ended with a slight mistake on Rose's part, leaving the two with a score of 33 out of 40 and positioning them mid-leaderboard. While she was clearly frustrated, Giovanni warmed viewer's hearts as he reassured her she had done well. "It's okay, it's okay," he said. "It was great!" In a recent interview, Giovanni admitted that Rose had "changed" him. "People on social media think that I’ve changed, that I’m a different person. I don't know... "I feel that with Rose, I have a person I can talk to, and she can listen to me, and give me positivity. And that’s what I need.”
