There’s nothing a woman loves more than a wild stallion/hot stud – isn’t that right Lily Allen? In fact, Lily loves a good ride so much that she’s splashed the cash and bought herself a pair of racehorses. Yes, seriously.
The Irish Daily Star reports that Lily is completely overjoyed with her new purchases – two thoroughbreds named Polish Rider and Ombrellino. Catchy names, right?
Apparently the purchase of the two horses was a family affair. Lily, her husband Sam Cooper and their little toddler Ethel paid a visit to the stable yard of legendary horse trainer Richard Hannon in order to see what kind of horses he had on offer.
“Lily’s presence in the yard cheered the lads up,” said Richard Jnr, the trainer’s son.
Onto a winner? Lily hopes to earn some cash from her horses.
But it’ll be a long time before Lily is able to get into the saddle, so to speak. The singer recently announced her second pregnancy (which comes a year after she gave birth to little Ethel), so she’ll have to leave all the riding up to someone else.
The singer is due to give birth in December and she is planning to release her new album next spring. She’s also set to feature on Pink’s new album The Truth About Love. So it’s busy days for Lily Allen.
Lily isn’t the first celeb to splash out on a racehorse. Apparently Wayne and Colleen Rooney own three, including a mare worth €80,000, who is affectionately known as “Piggy.” Nice.
