Poor Kim Kardashian, it seems like her biggest dream won’t be coming true any time soon…well unless she ditches her reality television series and gets a real job that is.
Kim recently told V Magazine that one of her biggest dreams is to see her name on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The 31-year old, who is currently dating Kanye West, told the magazine that she would love to get a star on the famous landmark, but the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has made it clear that it isn’t going to happen.
RadarOnline reports that the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has said they have no plans to give Kim a star of her own.
“I think there was a quote where somebody said that reality stars will never get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” said Kim recently.
“So, of course I’m so competitive that I think that it would be a huge achievement and a goal that anyone would want. I would love to break that mould,” she added.
But a rep from the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce was quick to put an end to Kim’s dream.
“She has not been nominated. She is a reality star. We don’t do reality stars,” said the rep.
“She needs to get a real acting job then come to us,” the rep added.
Ouch. Harsh or what? We bet poor Kim is nursing some hurt feelings after that last comment.
Kim wants to be the first reality TV star to be named on the famous landmark.
Anyway the rep also stressed that it takes more than just fame to get the recognition of being on the Walk of Fame.
“Part of the criteria in being honoured is receiving awards such as Emmys, SAG Awards, Oscars etc. in the category of television, live stage performance or motion pictures. They have to have a career in the business of acting for five years or more,” said the rep.
So unless Kim starts acting on the stage or on the big screen she’s unlikely to see her name immortalised on the landmark any time soon.
