George Clooney stormed out of a dinner with hotel tycoon Steve Wynn after Steve reportedly called President Obama an a**hole.

In a statement released by George’s publicist, the actor gave his reasons for leaving the dinner so abruptly.

“He [Steve] called the President [Barack Obama] an a**hole … that is a fact,” the 52-year-old actor said in a statement about the dinner which took two place two weeks ago, at Botero restaurant inside Wynn’s Encore hotel in Las Vegas.

“I said the President was my longtime friend and then he said, ‘Your friend is an a**hole,'” he continued. “At that point I told Steve that HE was an a–hole and I wasn’t going to sit at his table while he was being such a jacka**. And I walked out.”

However, Steve has a different story telling The Las Vegas Review Journal, “The place was empty. He stood up and threw a hissy fit.”

George took exception, Steve said, when an executive from Creative Arts Agency told a joke about former Soviet Union President Mikhail Gorbachev.

Steve then commented on Obamacare [reforms in American health care made by President Obama] which riled George further and supposedly led to him storming out of dinner.

The Monuments Men star and hotelier Steve were joined by George’s Casamigos tequila business partners as well as Steve’s wife, Andrea Hissom, and three others.
