Gary Barlow and his wife Dawn are grieving the loss of their stillborn daughter Poppy.
The X Factor judge and his wife are devastated by the loss of their child.
The couple announced Dawn’s pregnancy in February and she was due to give birth later this month.
Heartbroken Gary released a statement this morning and said his family are devastated by the loss.
“Dawn and I are devastated to announce that we’ve lost our baby.
“Poppy Barlow was delivered stillborn on August 4th in London.”
The couple have three children together Daniel, 11, Emily, nine, and Daisy, three.
Gary and Dawn have three children
Gary’s band mate Mark Owen and his wife welcomed their daughter Fox India last month and Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda are expecting their child in late August.
However, the Barlow family is focusing on saying goodbye to their daughter in a special ceremony.
“Our focus now is giving her a beautiful funeral and loving our three children with all our hearts.
“We’d ask at this painful time that our privacy be respected,” he said.
Gary’s next scheduled appearance is with Take That on Sunday when they are expected to take to the stage at the closing ceremony of the Olympics.
Gary’s fellow X Factor judge Tulisa Constostavlos expressed her sympathy to the family last night.
“My thoughts and prayers are with Gary and Dawn. It’s heartbreaking,” she said.
Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden, who lost a baby in 2011 said: “My heart and love goes out to Gary and his family.”
