X Factor star Sam Bailey is hoping to try her hand at acting after being dropped by record label SyCo.
Speaking to the Belfast Telegraph, Sam hinted at the possibility of a comic role: “No-one off the X Factor has done any sort of acting.
“I’m quite a comical person, on this tour everyone said ‘ my goodness you’re so funny’.
“I don’t mean to be, that’s just naturally me.”
The mother-of-three also revealed that if SyCo wanted to record another album, she would have been hesitant because she didn’t want to do “another covers album”.
“I want to be recognised as an artist that’s going to write some songs” added the 37-year-old.
Sam also referred to her X Factor mentor and godmother of her daughter Miley, Sharon Osborne, saying that she has “had her back from day one”.
After winning the show in 2013, Sam reached number one with a cover of Demi Lovato’s hit Skyscraper.
