Former X Factor contestant Kitty Brucknell has reportedly lost her bid to sing for Moldova in this year’s Eurovision contest.
The singer tweeted the news on Tuesday evening, stating that she was “utterly heartbroken” that she had not been selected to represent Moldova, having lost out at the semi-final stage of the competition.

According to reports, Kitty had hoped to represent the United Kingdom but stated that she had not been allowed by the BBC.
“Because I was on the X Factor, the BBC won’t entertain the idea of having me. They’ve said, not officially, but unofficially, ‘No, you were on the X Factor’.
“I think it’s a conflict of interests with The Voice, so I’ve heard. I’ve asked a lot of people,” she added.
