Former Strictly Come Dancing star Denise Van Outen is reportedly going to make a guest appearance in EastEnders this coming spring.
According to reports, the 40-year-old TV favourite and former The Big Breakfast presenter announced the news on Sunday.
“I’m really excited to be joining EastEnders as I’ve been a fan of the series for years,” she said.
“2015 marks the show’s 30th anniversary, so it feels even more special to be part of this year’s celebration.”
It has not yet been revealed what role Denise will be playing on the show and show bosses are refusing to announce any details.
They did reveal that she will send “sparks flying” on the show and an insider added that she is going to get up close and personal with one of Albert Square’s favourite men.
“It was only a matter of time before Denise Van Outen walked onto the Square,” said Dominic Treadwell-Collins, executive producer.
“We cannot wait to have Denise join us for a few episodes, where she will definitely make her presence felt.”
