Florence Pugh has opened up about the reality of dating as a celebrity
Florence Pugh has become one of the most loved and respected actresses in just a few short years.
She rose to fame with roles in Midsommar and Little Women and cemented herself as a leading lady in We Live In Time and Don’t Worry Darling.
She may have the career many actresses could only ever dream of, but that does come with its downfalls.
Pugh recently opened up about the impact her celebrity status has on her personal life, with The Wonder star saying it affects her relationships a lot.
She told Harper’s Bazaar UK: “I’m more sympathetic to the people who are in love with me, because it’s not easy.”
Pugh said her demanding schedule means she struggles to make time for dates.
“I’m tricky – I’m always busy, I can never make dates. But it’s not good enough for me to ask someone to just to accept that. I’ll just end up alone. I don’t want that – I want a family.”
“I’ve worked back-to-back since I started, and I’ve missed so much,” Pugh said.
She was previously involved with actor Zach Braff, but was met with immense backlash due to their age-gap.
She said their split was a difficult time for her.
“It was a scary break-up and I think that movie forced me to realise I can’t wait for people any more. I can’t accept this version of love. I have to help myself.”
Pugh has since kept her relationships out of the spotlight, but was linked to Finn Cole since 2024.
“I’ve now come to terms with things that I don’t like about myself and want to change. I don’t want to have things just happen to me any more,” she added.
