F1 driver Fernando Alonso responds to Taylor Swift dating rumours

Singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift has been linked to the Spanish Formula 1 racing driver, Fernando Alonso, following her recent split from Joe Alwyn. The rumours sparked after a Spanish gossip site shared a post claiming the pair are seeing each other. The post read: "A couple of Spanish magazines have been posting about TS and Spanish F1 driver Fernando Alonso". They said Swift and Alonso have been reportedly meeting for a week but that it's nothing serious as they're both just out of relationships. As the racing star arrived in Baku ahead of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, he was pressed about the dating rumours. He laughed at a reporter when they made references to Taylor's songs. In response to the questions Alonso said: "I answered already. "I have nothing to say mate". Taylor Swift has been focusing on her career after ending her six-year relationship but is reportedly doing well following the split. A source previously told Entertainment Tonight that Swift and Alwyn's relationship ended in March. The couple realised that they weren't right for one another, but the Grammy winner hopes they can be friends one day. A source revealed to MailOnline: "The bottom line for the difficulties in their relationship was that Taylor’s career took priority over Joe’s – which can be awkward for a couple when it’s not balanced.

"This drove them apart and ultimately, they both realised they were not on the same page anymore.

"It’s been hard for Joe trying to make it in Hollywood and not quite becoming leading man material while dating one of the most famous women in the world over the last six years". However, that hasn't stopped fans from worrying about the Cruel Summer singer. During her most recent concerts, fans have been holding up signs around the arena asking her if she is okay.
