Making the decision to propose is a big one and most men put a lot of thought and effort into planning every detail.
Unfortunately, sometimes things can still go a little bit awry.
Donnie Wahlberg enlisted the help of his partner Jenny McCarthy’s son Evan when proposing to the comedian but despite a very cute plan, his spelling almost spoiled the sentiment.
“I was sitting on the couch doing what every girl does saying ‘tell me how much you love me’ when he [Donnie] left the room. He and my son Evan came running back in holding a piece of paper saying ‘WILL’,” she revealed.
The pair then “ran out and returned carrying another piece of paper with the word ‘YOU’, and then disappeared and ran back in with another piece of paper that read ‘MARY,’ but misspelled it without the second R.”
Despite the stumbling block, Donnie persevered and came out with a shirt that said “Me” and the pair are now happily engaged.
Well, it is ‘for better or worse’ after all!
