Expert hints at major change to ‘This Morning’ lineup as Philip and Holly feud rumours continue

A PR and branding expert has suggested that Philip Schofield could be replaced by an ‘all-female’ duo on ITV’s This Morning.

There are rumours now swirling that channel bosses could replace Schofield - who is allegedly feuding with Holly Willoughby. Star names like Alison Hammond and Josie Gibson are among those being mentioned as potential stand-ins for the popular breakfast show. PR Expert, Nick Ede, told Closer Magazine: "There's an outside chance that there could even be a permanent female duo - Josie Gibson and Alison Hammond have proved incredibly popular and the combo of Alison and Holly recently proved very successful. "If Phil were to leave, they have a bank of fantastic presenters to step in. "Viewers love the likes of Joel Dommett, Craig Doyle and Marvin Humes who could match up with Holly." This comes amid the ongoing rumours of tensions between Holly and Philip as their friendship allegedly crumbles. One person said: "Well #ThisMorning that was the most awkward show I've ever watched. "Holly could barely look at phil and couldn't look anymore uncomfortable if she tried. But well done to both for keeping up the act." A second said: "@thismorning what a cringe fest that was! Have always loved @Schofe and @hollywill but clearly something amiss. Was surprised they were on today. "Told be on best behaviour? Phil kept looking at Holly adoringly. Just uncomfortable! This might be end for me." A third simply added: "You can cut the tension between Phil & Holly with a knife today! #ThisMorning." The pair has yet to acknowledge the rumours online and viewers are impatiently awaiting an explanation.
